Ozone has two different applications in food
industry.
• Ozone solved in water
• Ozone in Air
In both of the applications ozone production
doesn't need any expenditure and it has very low
cost of processing. Anti-microbial use of ozone
gas in food has been approved by FDA.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points)
applications are approved to be necessity for
food safety issued in food processing facilities
in Turkish Food Codex.
Also in 1997 ozone gas is classified as GRAS
(Generally Recognized As Safe).
